Saint Brandon, also known as the Cargados Carajos Shoals, is an Indian Ocean archipelago, situated on the Mascarene Plateau, about 430 kilometers Northeast of Mauritius and is composed of sandbanks, shoals, and islets. The archipelago is low-lying and prone to substantial submersion in severe weather.
How do I get there?
You fly to SSR International Airport at Plaisance in the South of Mauritius, having previously booked a room in one of the many hotels in Port Louis, the Capital. Port Louis is about one hour by car from SSR airport. The departure for Saint Brandon by boat will be from Port Louis at the indicated place and time. The boat trip will take around 24 hours.
